Does anyone know what the Slipknot drummer (Joey Jordison) uses as his snare drum?, particularly the one that can be heard in the “9.0 Live” album. It sounds like a different snare compared to most bands – can anyone help?
Joey plays his Pearl Joey Jordison signature snare. It sounds different because the head size is about an inch less(13″) than what many would consider a normal sized snare drum(14″). It has a powerful, deep sounding punch to it.

I want to know the specifications of this drum kit, what drummer it belongs to (if any), and how much it is.
If someone could help me find these answers i would appreciate it.
Truth is the brand of drums. If you go here:

and go to the artists tab, it will take you to the page of all the drummers who have endorsed the Truth brand. It’s an impressive list.
I’m playing in my schools music festival for the first time and I don’t know how to do tricks or not feel so nervous. And also pls put a thunderstruck drum cover for simple drums .
do the stick twirl!!! its really not hard, you just hold the stick between your pointer and middle fingers, then twirl it around. if you do it right, it looks like youre actually spinning it around your hand. or, just toss a stick up in the air and catch it during any part where you have a 2-4 beat rest. maybe throw a sweet, but simple solo in there. in general, people dont know how to play drums. so as long as it sounds decent, people will be mroe than happy. hehe good luck! and relax, and have fun!
How many BPM’s do you think a good drummer should be able to play 16th note bass drum beats with a single pedal. I’m talking like drummers in rock/hard rock bands.
mm=90
Im a beginning drummer, i want easy drum covers of just rock hard rock maybe some metal.

I’m wondering if anyone can share some speculation on how the drummer (Melvin Parker) is playing the bass drum so fast during the drum break. It almost sounds like its alternating between the floor tom and bass, but I’m not sure…

Ignore the 1st link……
3:17 on here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_oLKupaubo
There is no break at 3:17. Correct link?
Added:
Your second link is much better, thanks. The drum break there is most likely, a speed pedal and some awesome talent on the part of the Drummer. It does not sound like double pedal and I suspect that the piece is too old to be DP anyway. If you practice your bass pedal for speed you will eventually get that fast and sure. We can also hear the ghost notes on the snare which just adds to the effect.
Keep practising your bass technique, but remember speed alone is not the whole goal.
Good luck and paradiddles.
why is programming drum beats so hard using the drum machine? do you need to be a drummer to be able to do that? it’s sohard to timing with the metronome and the hardest part is sometimes you don’t press the pad hrd enough and then you miss a beat. is it really a tedious process to do that?
I really want to no because i hope 2 be able 2 play their songs one day and i want to know what his set is all made of.
I wanna buy an electric guitar 1st or 2nd hand or even an acoustic will do.Anyone wants to sell their guitar plz let me know. And i’m also looking for drum sets if i get em cheap and a drummer for my band.
You can find a nice selection of electric guitars that are for sell here http://www.bestguitars.org/ There are details and price information so you can buy if you see anything you want.
His snare sounds freakin’ sweet. Does anybody know what drum he uses or how I should tune mine to sound like that?
Like czar said, you can most likely pat the sound engineer on the back more so than the drummer for that tone. I am always amazed when I hear my drums on stage through the monitors dry, and then step out front and listen while one of the other guys plays them…a world of difference.
